We at Truro Brewing Company acknowledge the complexity of our country’s history and recognize the varying perspectives on ‘Canada Day’ celebrations.

We choose not to celebrate ‘Canada Day’ as we believe it centres around the glorification & erasure of genocide towards indigenous communities. We do not celebrate the colonization of stolen land.

We also continuously acknowledge that our business resides on Mi’kma’ki, the traditional territory of the Mi’kmaq People. “We are all Treaty people”... and we foster relationships based on respect, friendship, and growth.
